🌿 Bioactive Decor Pack – Setup Instructions

Thank you for choosing the Mantis House Bioactive Decor Pack! Follow these steps to create a healthy, natural environment for your enclosure.

Step 1 – Prepare the Enclosure

Ensure the enclosure is clean, secure, and ready to use.

Step 2 – Add the Drainage Layer

Pour in a 1–2 cm layer of Hydro Rocks at the bottom.
These retain moisture and slowly release humidity. -
Place the black membrane fabric flat over the rocks.
This keeps the substrate from mixing into the drainage layer.

Step 3 – Add Substrate

Empty the bag of substrate on top of the membrane.

Depth can vary: use more if you plan to add live plants.

Step 4 – Planting

Unwrap the terrarium plant and gently remove the pot, taking care of the roots.

Create a hole in the substrate, place the plant inside, and firmly pat down the soil around it.

Lightly water the plant to help it settle.
​
Step 5 – Add Springtails
-
Open the springtail tub inside the enclosure (they can jump).
-
Empty the contents onto the substrate.
The soil already contains springtail eggs for continued growth.

Step 6 – Add Décor

Scatter orchid bark and lichen/spanish moss as desired.

Finish with seed heads, natural pods, or vines to create your preferred look.
