Common name: Jumping SpiderOrigin: Warm, sunny habitatsSize: Small to medium species, very active hunters

Enclosure

Tall enclosure with plenty of climbing space

Good ventilation to prevent stagnant air

Décor: branches, cork bark, plants, and hides

Temperature & Humidity

Temp: 24–28 °C (75–82 °F)

Light misting for hydration

Slings/juveniles: every other day

Adults: once a week

Avoid overly damp substrate

Feeding

Live prey such as fruit flies or houseflies

Feed 2–3 times per week

Prey should be smaller than the spider’s body

Notes

Builds silk retreats for resting and molting

May refuse food before a molt — this is normal

Secure lid essential, as they are strong jumpers!
